Thinking of You Card

I made this card so that I could try out a new technique that I read about. You color your markers right onto an acrylic stamp block, and then you do the direct to paper technique with it. Not sure how I feel about it! Non the less, here is the recipe for the card!!

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece Pool Party Card stock-Stampin' Up
3 X 4 piece of Whisper White Card Stock-Stampin' Up
Summer Splash Stamp Set-Stampin' Up (2011 Summer Mini)
3 for You Stamp Set- RETIRED (for saying)
Framed Tulips Embossing Folder- Stampin' Up
Stampin' Write Markers- Marina Mist, Pool Party, Island Indigo
Classic Stamp Pads- Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder. All are In Color's from Stampin' Up
Snail Adhesive- Stampin' Up
Word Window Punch-Stampin' Up
Scrap of Island Indigo card stock

Color the 3 markers across a clean acrylic block and then stamp it on the piece of whisper white. Using the fish from the Summer Splash Stamp set and your stamp pads, stamp the fish in any manner you so please. Run your piece of Pool Party Card stock and your embossing folder through your Big Shot. Attach the white card stock to the Pool Party card stock using Snail. Stamp your phrase on a small scrap of Island Indigo card stock, and then use the word window punch to punch it out. Adhere it to your card.

Hello Card

This card was SO simple and so very quick to make! Recipe for this card is as follows:

-3 x 6 piece Pear Pizzaz cardstock-In Color Patterned Paper (from 6 x 6 Stampin Up In Color Patterned Paper book).
-1 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece card stock-Stampin Up Whisper White
-Hello Blossom Stamp-Stampin Up Summer Mini Album
-Ticket Corner Punch- Stampin Up
-Stampin Write Markers-Stampin Up (Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder-All are 2011-2013 In Colors and I also used Melon Mambo)
-Mistletoe Ribbon-Stampin Up
-Stick on Pearls-Michaels
-Snail Adhesive-Stampin Up

Use the markers to color the Hello Blossom Stamp. Before you stamp the image on the Whisper White, breath onto the marker to "re-activate" the color (if it still does not come up good enough on the paper, you can just use the writing tip of the marker to go over where its missing color). Use the Ticket Corner Punch on the ends of the whisper white card stock. Adhere it to the piece of Pear Pizazz patterned card stock. Place 4 pearls at the edges of the Whisper White card stock onto the Pear Pizazz paper. Cut a piece of Mistletoe ribbon and  using the snail, adhere all but an inch and a half on the left to the Pear Pizazz card stock. Cut off overlay on right side. On the left side, take another small piece of ribbon, and tie it unto the piece that you already started gluing (to make it look like a bow), then once you have done that, glue the rest of the 1st piece of ribbon down.

There you have it! If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please do not hesitate to go onto my stampin up site: http://www.jessicarosewilson.stampinup.net/ and place an order!!

Hubby's Father's Day Gift!

So, I remember the first fathers day gift that my son made my husband in school...it was a tie that said "I Love You Daddy". Now, my husband LOVED it because it came from my son, BUT he also was a little sad about the card. My husband is not a suit and tie dad. He works his BUTT off in a trucking warehouse everyday, and comes home either hot and filthy or ice cold and filthy. I know the one thing my husband looks forward to EVERY year is our annual trip to Ocean City NJ with our son. So, while my son came home from his last day of school with his dad's gift "hidden", I knew it would be yet another tie (that of coarse my husband would love, but I think you understand). So, I quickly went to all my pictures from the previous years vacation and got the best pics of my hubby and my little guy. Then went to my Life's a Beach Cricut cartridge! We gave this to my husband a day early, but it was the day we were leaving for Ocean City! Needless to say, husband LOVED it...and of coarse he loved his tie too!

Happy Father's Day Dad!!

So I found the instructions FINALLY on how to make an origami shirt that were actually easy to read! My dad is a HUGE hunter and when I went to the scrapbook store near me, I found camouflage paper! I thought it would be PERFECT for him! I also found some sticker embellishments for it! I did only use just the binoculars though. I stamped the saying and then I trimmed it to look like an arrow. After that, I stamped another image on a piece of punched card stock, then punched the next size up to mount the stamped image on. I was going for a "bulls eye" look!

Whew! What a vacation...and what a way to end it :(

So, I first want to say "HI" to everyone!!! I have been on vacation for just about 2 weeks! Jersey Shore was good to us, then we celebrated my birthday, and unfortunately ended our vacation in the ER with my poor little guy. He took a tumble off of my in-laws back steps and fell about 3 1/2 feet down. THANKFULLY he did not have any broken bones (they were worried about a cracked skull; thought I was gonna pass out when the doctor said that!) and all he needed was 2 staples in the back of his head. I am NOT happy that he had to have the staples, but considering what doctors were fearing, I am glad its just that!

As for my birthday, I have to share it with Michael Jackson...what does that mean you say? Well, Michael Jackson passed on my 30th birthday. I was so upset that I got calls about Michael Jackson passing away instead of Happy 30th, that now its the running joke in my family that its not really my birthday, its the 2nd anniversary of Michael Jackson's death. lol...hope this doesn't offend anyone, just telling you what my family does to make light of the situation!

So the one thing I did do while on my last day of vacation (before the ER) was go to MULTIPLE stores to try to get some really good organizational items for my craft area. I feel like because its so small I cant keep it neat. Well, I am here to tell you that its TOTALLY FALSE! If you have a small space, you can totally keep everything neat and organized! I went to "The Container Store" and spent $85 and got TONS of stuff to organize my little "stations". I got a rolling card for my Cricut Station. It has 3 drawers and holds all my cartridges and items for my cricut. I will also hold my Birthday Present to myself on there come Friday......A CRICUT IMAGINE!! Wooo Hoooo!!! I will take picks and post as soon as I get it!!! I also got a few paper totes to store all of my paper. I even got a separate container to hold strickley my Stampin Up paper (which I CHERISH... Lol). I was also looking for an idea to hold my punches. I don't really have a good wall to hold a wall stand for them, so I improvised...I got 2 hanging jewelry holders that had about 20 pouches on it and I stuck my punches in there! It hangs like a hanger, and I got 2 of them to hold all my punches. I also got these really adorable little baskets to hold all of my stamp sets. I am not too sure of my feelings on them because I cant really see what ones I have, but it works for now! I am sure I will change my mind a hundred more times on that! The last little item I got was a little chest of drawers that were just big enough to hold all my Stampin Up markers! The reason I love this little chest is because I get 5 drawers which is just enough to hold my pens in the sets they come in (Brights, Subtles, In Colors, etc)! Just the little things make me happy, lol!

Ok, thats gonna have to be enough for now! Its my first day back to work, and I want to try to squeeze out a card before I go ;)

Well, needless to say I finally finished and I am so happy with the finished products! So, now I will be working on my own fathers day gifts and teachers gifts this weekend along with having to work my full time job all weekend! Where will I find the time???? I guess we will just have to wait and see!!!

For now, here are some pictures of what I have finished!
