Lady Bug Birthday Card

Hi All!

Just wanted to share a quick card that I made tonight with my partner tonight. We were just messing around tonight with a "girly" type card, and here is what we came up with!

Very simple I think...Made with George and Basic Shapes. Here is the recipe:

Circles from George and Basic Shapes (1 red cut at 4.5 and 1 black cut at 4.5 for body, 1 black cut at 2.0 for the head)
Small heart punch
EK Success Ornament punch (cut off top of ornament for antennas)
Birthday sentiment
Pattern Stamp (for wings)
White Craft Ink
Black Embossing Powder
Versa Mark
Heat Tool
Small Hole Punch (For nose and tips of antennas)
Peachy Keen Face Stamps

Looking back at the card, I wish I would of added legs to it! I may just do that tomorrow!

Night all! Hope to find you Craftin' and Stampin'

VERY EASY!!!

Here's what I did:

Ribbons and Rosettes Cricut Cartridge
Sweethearts Cartridge
Art Philosophy Cartridge
8 1/2 X 11 Frame (mine is from Dollar Tree)
Patterned piece of background paper ( 8 1/2 X 11)
Piece of Patterned paper (2 X 2)
1 Piece of Red Card stock (2 X 2)
1 Piece of 7 X 7 Light Pink Card stock (also two 3 X 3 scrap piece for hearts and circles)
1 Piece of 7 X 7 Dark Pink Card stock (also 3 X 3 scrap piece for hearts)
1 Piece of 6 X 6 Medium Pink Card stock (also 3 X 3 scrap piece for hearts)
Glossy Accents
Pop Dots
Red Chunky Glitter
Large Heart Punch (Stampin' Up)
2' Circle Punch (Stampin' Up) ****This is what I used to keep my Rosette's together-with glue gun***
Close to My Heart Stamp Set that came with Art Philosophy (to stamp hearts)
Real Red Ink (Stampin' Up)
Melon Mambo Ink (Stampin' Up)
Glue Gun and glue
XYRON Sticker Maker

-Cut 2 3.5' light pink and 2 3.5' dark pink strips from the Ribbons and Rosettes Cartridge
-Cut LOVE from Sweethearts at 3'
-Cut hearts in your colors from Art Philosophy at 1' and 1.5' (use coordinating stamp set for exact measure for your hearts so they stamp correctly)
-Insert background paper into frame
-Punch 2 2' circles with pink
-assemble your heart that you cut from Ribbons and Rosettes with score tape and using CAUTION with your glue gun, apply the two 2' circles to front and back of your Rosette so it stays together
-Stamp your hearts and assemble them as you wish and get them ready for adhering to frame
-Punch out your center heart with your heart punch (if you do not have a heart punch, cut an additional 1' FAT heart from Art Philosophy)
-Apply a nice layer of glue to adhere your glitter to the heart (I used my XYRON sticker maker for this part...I LOVE THAT LITTLE THING ;) )
-Apply Glossy Accents over the glitter and set it aside to dry (will probably take over night!!)
-Using Glue Gun and CAUTION, apply the glue to the back of the Rosette and QUICKLY and CAREFULLY attach to the glass on the picture frame
-Using Pop Dots, place on the back of LOVE cutout and adhere that to the glass of the frame
-Using Pop Dots, place on the back of your hearts and adhere to the BOTTOM SIDES of the picture frame
-Once your center heart is dry, use Pop Dots and adhere to your center of your frame

THAT'S ALL FOLKS!!!

Hope to find you all Craftin' and Stampin'

How do you keep track of your sketches???

Hey All!!!

All my un-decorating is just about done! A few more things to put away and a few more things left to replace! God, its the worst to un-decorate for me. January is my least favorite month of the year and December is my FAVORITE! So, to take all of my favorite items down in my LEAST favorite month just makes it so much harder for me! But, I'm getting though it! One more night of this and I am DONE!!!

So, two of my resolutions for the year were:

1. Be more organized in my crafting area (get better storage solutions, clean up from one project to the next, keep better track of my ideas, etc).
2. Create a card sketch a day, and create something EVERYDAY this year.

with that being said, I decided to clean and organize my craft room! I cleaned it all out on Sunday, purchased better storage "solutions" for my craft items, and cleaned up all my previous project messes! But, when I was cleaning up, I took my stack of card sketches and I must have thrown them out. It would not have been so bad if trash day wasn't Monday :(. So, that lead to my issue of keeping better track of my sketches, and also made me remember that I was supposed to be doing a sketch a day.

The only think I could think of to keep track of my sketches, and also to have it handy on the go, was a composition book. I have an I Phone and thought maybe there might be a drawing app, but I couldn't find anything! So, my question to all of you is this: How do you keep track of all your card sketches, layouts, and ideas for future projects???? Please comment below and help me out!

Here is a quick video of my book and what my thoughts are about it!

Hope to find you all Craftin' and Stampin'!
