Card Creating Tuesday at My Cricut Craft Room!

Click HERE for my Close To My Heart online store where you can purchase Cricut ARTISTE!

Hey all!!

First and foremost...Being it is September 11, please keep your hearts open for the men, women, and children who lost lives 11 years ago today. God, I will NEVER forget where I was or how sad I felt after that day. I will explain to my son now that he is getting older what happened that day, and how it changed our world for the future.

Now, for my project...

Its time for another project over at My Cricut Craft Room!!!

Today, its Card Creating Tuesday! And we have to make a 3D Card!!!

For my card, I decided to pull out my Cricut Mini and play with that! I got an email from Cricut saying that if you link up your mini to the craft room, you will get access to 100's of images for FREE!!! Well, I LOVE free, so I hooked it up!!!

There were a few images that they gave us....Cricut Mini Baby, Cricut Mini Celebrate, Cricut Mini Elegant, and Cricut Mini School. Now, I also so Barack Obama and Mitt Romney...Not too sure if these were part of the Cricut Mini freebee's!!! LOL!!!

So,  here is the card I created for today:

I used Cricut Mini Celebrate and cut out the confetti with different pieces of background paper! I poped the pieces up on pop dots, and stamped CELEBRATE on a piece of purple paper to look almost like a forturn cookie paper....at least that was the look I was going for!!!

I hope you can go and check out the rest of the DT projects to see what they created!

Hope to catch you all Craftin' and Stampin'!

Cricut 3D Mailbox-Digital Cartridge & Videos

Hey All!!!

FINALLY, a project I can share with you all! I get to unload a secret first this morning, now I get to show you something I was working on!

I had purchased the 3D Mailbox digital cartridge as soon as it came out on the Cricut site. I knew I would use it, just couldn't seem to find the time. So guess what...I found TIME!!! Woo Hoo! I even found the time to video tape myself making it! Starting from cutting it in the craft room to putting it together! I had to make the video in 3 separate videos cause we ALL know I cant figure out how to make my You Tube Videos go longer than 15 minutes! And, on top of that, I cant pause my video when I am shooting it. Kinda weird I think.

***Just so you ALL know, I get a little down on  myself in the 3rd video. I was a little upset with how it turned out, but I think its just cause I am my own roughest critic. It did turn out pretty good, don't mind me!

Any who...ready to see the project?????? Here it is!!!

I first created the mailbox on my Gypsy because I am still VERY SLOW on the Cricut Craft Room. I guess if I keep falling back to "Oh, I'll just do it on the Gypsy and upload it to the Craft Room" I'll ALWAYS be slow on it! I need to be more diligent with trying!

I made the box be 8 inches long with all of the parts cut at the relative size. I want to attempt putting the cut file on here again, but last time my luck was not so good! Anyone have an idea of how I can share my cut file so you can make this too? Just let me know! I did make a small mistake, that HOPEFULLY I fixed in the cut file. So, if we can figure out how to share it, we should be good.

So, You Tube is being goofy again and not letting me put my video's on here, so here is a link tothe 1st part:

Sorry for the 3 videos!!!

OK all, gotta run...more things to CREATE!!!  Hope to find you all Craftin' and Stampin'!

What?? 2 posts in one day??? Nah, acutally a Cricut Mini Follow up from last post!

So, I just got off the phone with Cricut Support. After a VERY long hold time, I got the NICEST and MOST PATIENT girl on the phone. She listened to me rant for about 10 minutes then asked me a few questions. After she asked a few questions and had me test out the things that I already did, she asked if I adjusted the pressure. Did I adjust the pressure???? NOPE! Didn't see where the pressure lever was in the instruction book, and I totally forgot about it!!! After I adjusted the pressure, my little Cricut Mini worked like a CHARM!!! Here is a quick picture of where you can find AND ADJUST the pressure of your mini:

That little lever will help you create your masterpieces on your mini!!! Sure wish I would have done that BEFORE I wasted a whole pack of paper!! lol! BUT, I must say, the reason why I LOVE Cricut is because of this: After my rant, and after we got my machine fixed, the kind girl tells me that because of my troubles, she is going to credit my Cricut account $20 for all my problems! How awesome is that??????
