Now, on to my project!!!

I made a plate for Christmas Eve for Santa and his reindeer!!! And if you checked out my post from yesterday, you may see I ALREADY have a trend with colors and theme going on here...VINYL!!!

This was SUPER EASY to cut on my Cricut Explore and I actually got this idea from Pinterest! Gotta love that site!!!

Home Decor Sign Using Design Space and Close To My Heart Art Philosophy-Pic Heavy!

Hey All!!!

For today's post, I wanted to show you how I made a Home Decor piece for my entry way into my home. I really LOVE the Name signs that say Est. and the wedding date of the couple with their last name on it. I have seen them all over Etsy, as well as craft shows. Well, I CERTAINLY would not of bought one when I am VERY familar with vinyl and my cutting machines! I just have been...LAZY! Well, today was the day to get over being lazy! I wanted to make this sign... So I did!!! 

Here is the steps I took:

1. First I took the piece of wood that I purchased at Michael's and I sanded the rough edges down. Then, I took the color paint that I bought and I painted the whole piece. 

 2. Once the paint dried, I took my Glossy Mod Podge and using a foam brush (like $.25 in Michael's in the paint aisle) and wiped ALL over the top and side of the piece of wood. 

 3. I designed the letters and words that I wanted to use in Cricut Design Space. I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge letters to make my name. Here is the video of how I set it up so I knew it would work. 



4.  Then, after I set it up, I cut them out and weeded the letters (pulled out the offsets that you will not use when you transfer them to your project).

 5. After I weeded the letters, I used Contact paper to attach my letters all in one piece to transfer onto the wood. 

6. I placed and adhered my letters onto the wood. I repeated with my other two sentences (our first names and the established by date).

7. After I got EVERYTHING down where I wanted them to go, I took out my Mod Podge again and sealed my letters to the wood. 

Here is the finished project pics!!! I LOVE how it turned out and cannot wait until I get some Command Strips to hang it up in my entry way! I think that will go on my Honey Do list for tomorrow!!!

Hey All!!!

So, if you are following my blog now from the Cricut Design Space page, you saw this picture yesterday as SOON as I did it! 

I was having MAJOR issues with my laptop accepting anymore videos because I had no space left, so hence why my You Tube followers got BOMBARDED with videos yesterday! I taped EVERYTHING, but just had the chance to FINALLY upload!!

Thanks for joining me for my guest designer day at Jaded Blossom!!

 

So, remember I said I was TOTALLY busy and SWAMPED with projects I was working on for end of school? Well, it was also a project for Jaded Blossom! Today and tomorrow I will be showcasing some more of my projects using their new stamps this month (and some oldie but goodie ones)!

 

Well, like everyone else in the crafting world, I have OFFICIALLY jumped on the Vinyl bandwagon! And can I just say, I am LOVING it??? I stocked up on tumblers from Dollar Tree and I rounded up the vinyl I have collected over the years (and even some I was able to get for 50% off at Joanne's...SCORE!

 

So, getting the clear tumblers was not as easy I thought...I went to 8 to get a total of 18 of them! But, I managed to get 18 CLEAR which is what I wanted!

 

Here is the mug I made for my kiddos teacher:

 

 

This is the front...I tried to do it in our school colors of Green and Gold, but the closest to Gold I had was Orange

 

I wanted the A+ Teacher to stand out, so that is why I chose white!

 

How super cute is the ABC???
