Hey All!!

Happy Saturday!! 

So, as you can see, this post is for Unscripted Sketches...And yup..I am a NEW MEMBER of their DT! I was SUPER EXCITED for this because I am ALWAYS looking for sketches to help me with ideas for cards and projects! So, I was SUPER excited to be asked to be a part of this team!! 

So, this week, they are on Sketch 230 and the sketch looks like this:

This sketch seemed like it was gonna be SOOO easy, but then when I started working with it, NOTHING seemed right! I don't know if it was because I was worried about it being my first post, or what...I worked on it FOR A WEEK! Finally, Thursday night, at the LAST MINUTE, I decided I liked it enough to submit it :) And whats funny is, it took me 15 minutes to make it! AHHH! SUPER EASY!

Quickie Gift Bag Re-Do using Sparkle and Shine Paper and Artbooking!

Hey All!!

Can I just tell you how IN LOVE I am with the Artbooking Cartridge??? I wanted to start getting on my holiday crafting and I wanted to take a picture of something in a holiday gift bag, and guess what??? NO GIFT BAGS!!! AHHH! I did, however, have a TON of Valentines Day bags left over, and when I saw them, I KNEW I could re-purpose it!!!

I grabbed my Artbooking Cartridge, and the NEW Sparkle and Shine B & T Duos paper, and I went to work!!!

Here is what I came up with!!

I had a large piece of scrap green from some random paper I had, so I used that as the  backdrop (garland) that I cut out on the Cricut. Then, I cut out a Tree from the Artbooking Cartridge! I used my Gypsy (but you could use CCR) to size it up correctly for the bag!

I then, used a piece of red scrap that I had and I adhered the piece I cut out of Artbooking (looks like garland) to. I cut around the edge, to make it fit, then, I used a 2 pieces of Sparkle & Shine Washi tape (Green Washi down first, then layers Silver Washi over it. Both came in the 3 pack!!!). After I did that, I placed the tree on, but thought it needed something to break up the color, so I cut an oval out of the Art Philosophy Cartridge at 1 inch. After I layed that oval down, THEN I put my tree up on foam tape on the front!

DONE!!

I'll admit, its not exactly "Christmasy" colors, but I really like it!
