Scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craft Room!

Please scroll down to next post for the "MONSTER MASH BLOG HOP" featuring Exploring Cricut and Made Especially For You!

Hey all!!!

Today is another post for My Cricut Craft Room!!!

Today's theme is:

Scrapbook Friday

Teacher theme for World Teacher’s Day (does not have to be a school teacher…. I teach people through Ustream, so get creative)

So...I wanted to get creative and think of a layout that I could make for someone who DOES teach, and not necessarily in school! So...I got to thinking....And here is what I thought of!!!

I made a 2 page layout for a Cooking Instructor using Kate's Kitchen and my Imagine!!!

I stiched recipe cards for the photo mats (with my Sew Easy) which are cut at 4 inches on the Imagine from the Kate's Kitchen cartridge. Even my background paper is from that cartridge!

I spelled out Cooking Class = Cooking with Class in my Cricut Craft Room using Craft Room Basics. I just love that font! I welded the letters of each word together as well!

I popped up the center images on each page with Pop Dots!

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Please check out the rest of my DT sisters over at My Cricut Craft Room! You will be amazed!!!

OK all, hope to catch you all Craftin' and Stampin'!

The cartridges I chose today are:

A Frightful Affair
Autumn Celebrations
George and Basic Shapes
Moveable Monsters

Can I tell you just HOW excited I was to challenge myself with creating an AWESOME project utilizing these cartridges??? Well, I can tell you I had a BLAST doing it!!!!

Here is my project:

2 page layout featuring 2 4x4 picture mats and a 4x6 picture mat.

 Witch from Autumn Celebrations

Zombie Man from Movable Monsters, but shadow background from A Frightful Affair

Pumpkins from A Frightful Affair

Ghost Tree from A Frightful Affair

Boo from A Frightful Affair and Moon from George and Basic Shapes. The picture mats were also from George and Basic Shapes

Tombstone with zombie hands is also from A Frightful Affair

Can I just tell you that this was the FIRST scrapbook layout I have made since World Scrapbooking Day??? How terrible is that??? Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room!

Hey All!!

It's time for another post for My Cricut Craft Room!!!

Today, its theme day Thursday!

For today's theme, we have Apples and Pumpkins! I chose a pumpkin card for Halloween! And what a cute little pumpkin card it ended up being!!!

I used Create A Critter for my little pumpkin friend, and I used scraps of paper left from last Halloween and Thanksgiving! Its a cute little bright pink shade in my background paper and I added some white gel pen stiching around him. I also used my letter stamps to spell out HEY PUMPKIN since I didnt have a stamp that said that! I popped it up on some pop dots, so it just RIGHT out at you! I used Pumpkin Pie ink from Stampin' Up to do some shading around my pumpkin and around my saying, which I also used Pumpkin Pie ink for!

Please check out the rest of the AWESOME design team's projects today by clicking HERE! Also, please check out the post that Erica put up about some changes going on with the Cricut Craft Room! You can find that post HERE! You will want to scroll to the bottome of the post for that info! SUPER GREAT STUFF coming!!!

Card Creating Tuesday at My Cricut Craft Room!

Click HERE for my Close To My Heart online store where you can purchase Cricut ARTISTE!

Hey all!!

First and foremost...Being it is September 11, please keep your hearts open for the men, women, and children who lost lives 11 years ago today. God, I will NEVER forget where I was or how sad I felt after that day. I will explain to my son now that he is getting older what happened that day, and how it changed our world for the future.

Now, for my project...

Its time for another project over at My Cricut Craft Room!!!

Today, its Card Creating Tuesday! And we have to make a 3D Card!!!

For my card, I decided to pull out my Cricut Mini and play with that! I got an email from Cricut saying that if you link up your mini to the craft room, you will get access to 100's of images for FREE!!! Well, I LOVE free, so I hooked it up!!!

There were a few images that they gave us....Cricut Mini Baby, Cricut Mini Celebrate, Cricut Mini Elegant, and Cricut Mini School. Now, I also so Barack Obama and Mitt Romney...Not too sure if these were part of the Cricut Mini freebee's!!! LOL!!!

So,  here is the card I created for today:

I used Cricut Mini Celebrate and cut out the confetti with different pieces of background paper! I poped the pieces up on pop dots, and stamped CELEBRATE on a piece of purple paper to look almost like a forturn cookie paper....at least that was the look I was going for!!!

I hope you can go and check out the rest of the DT projects to see what they created!

Hope to catch you all Craftin' and Stampin'!

Card Creating Tuesday at My Cricut Craft Room!

Click HERE for my Close To My Heart store where you can purchase the new Cricut Artiste Cartridge!!!

Hey All!!!

Today is Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut Craft Room!

For today's challenge, you can create ANY CARD!!! Woo Hoo!!

For my card, I wanted to make a card for my hubby to say just how much I love and appreciate all that he has done for me lately! He is not into "lovey dovey cards", so I had to make a fun one for him!

Here is what I came up with:

I used my Gypsy, Sweetheart Cartridge, Paisley Cartridge, and Sesame Street Font Cartridge to make this shaped card!!!

How cute is it??

Here are the screens on my Gypsy showing how I welded and made this card!!

First, I found the image I wanted to use. Once I found the image and figured out how big I wanted it, I duplicated it, flipped it upside down, and moved them together until I was happy with the placement. Then I hit the weld button.

Next, I printed another layer to place on top of the front of the card, so I could create the frog/toad in my layers. I also made my sentiment for the inside. All of the 3 parts of the sentiment are welded together for easier placement!

Finally, I printed the rest of the layers (eyes, crown, belly) and then placed them on the card.

I cant wait to give hubby his card!!! I also hope my card inspires you to work with your Gypsy and create some beautiful cards and projects!!!

Please make sure you check out the rest of the wonderful projects from my other DT sisters by going to www.mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

OK all! Hope to catch you Craftin' and Stampin'!

Card Creating Tuesday Get Well Cards!

Click HERE for my Close To My Heart Online Store where you can purchase the NEW Cricut Artiste Cartridge!!

Hey All!!

Its time for another post over at My Cricut Craft Room!!!

Today's theme is Card Creating Tuesday-GET WELL CARDS!!!

This was a good card theme for me to pick, cause I really don't make too many get well soon cards!!

It's time to pull out the Gypsy ladies!!!

Here's HOW SIMPLE it was to make this card!

First, I found the image I wanted to use! The image I wanted was an oversized bandaid with a sad face! I found the bandaid on the B is For Boy cartridge! So, I lined it up on my Gypsy so I could make the most of 1 time cutting. I will be going over this in a future post, so no worries!!! I sized the bandaid at 2 inches!

Next, I made my cuts, and I stamped my cute little bandaid! Everyone has GOT to know that used my Peachy Keen Stamp faces for this!! They are just PERFECT for bringing your project to life!!!

Finally, I found a sentiment that I liked! I always love puns and play on words stamps, so I went after my Word Play stamp set from Stampin' Up! Here is the sentiment...

Perfect, right???

And can I just point out that I am in LOVE with Chevron prints right now??? Don't these two layered pages go PERFECT together???

Here is my completed card!!!

Now, I hope you check out the rest of my DT sisters projects over at My Cricut Craft Room!!

OK All! Hope to catch you Craftin' and Stampin'!!!

Hey All!!!

It's time for another post over at My Cricut Craft Room!!!

And today, it's THEME DAY THURSDAY!! Today's theme is: TEACHERS!!!

For my project to go with today's theme, I decided to create a decoration for my son's new teachers desk as a gift for the first day of school!!!

Here are a few pictures of my project!

Here is the front of the box

Side view-See the vellum?

This picture kept coming out blurry! NOT SURE WHY!!! But, it say SCHOOL

Another side view

My battery operated tea light to light it up inside!!! Hence, the vellum!

SUPPLIES:
Cricut Expression
Cricut Craft Room
Sweet Tooth Boxes & Gypsy Font
Recollections Paper-Including blackboard patterned piece for roof!

I used the Craft Room to create this box so that I could see what size it would turn out once it was all done. I cut it at 9 inches and all its matching parts at 9 inches. I added the vellum to the back of the windows, and I took away SWEETS and added SCHOOL with Gypsy Font in the Craft Room for my sign!

That was it!!! SUPER EASY and SUPER cute for your child's teacher!

OK all, please go and check out more project inspiration for my DT sisters!!! You can see the other projects for Theme Day Thursday by clicking HERE!!!

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday at My Cricut Craft Room

Click HERE for my Close To My Heart Online store where you can purchase ARTISTE!!!

Hi All!!!

I have a really great project for you guys today! Well, today is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday over at My Cricut Craft Room, and the theme today is Phrases! I will tell you that as soon as I read Erica's post the other day about making cards that took 10 minutes,  I knew I wanted to take up that same thought process in my post for today! So, 10 minutes to work with a phrase...I GOT THIS!!!

So, I ran to my cartridges, and if I was going with our theme of Phrases, what better cartridge to work with than Pharses???  I set the clock, and I was off!!

I decided I wanted to make a card for my friend at work. She has been going through a real rough patch and I wanted her to know that she was a strong girl, and that she ROCKED for getting through this tough time!

I quickly found the phrase that I wanted to use! I also knew that I wanted a shape card! So, I went to work!!

Here are the screen shots of Cricut Craft Room of my project as I was creating it:

Here is the shaped base. It is a word bubble! From Cricut Font and Basic Shapes

Here is another shape from Cricut Font and Basic Shapes and the start of my greeting!

Here is the rest of my greeting

Are you ready to see how the finished card looked? Well here it is!

I used all scraps to create this! And guess what...? It took me 9 minutes and 37 seconds to make this!!! Thanks Erica for pushing me to try!!!

OK, nows the time to check out the rest of the talented ladies from MCCR and what they created!!! Click HERE to check them out!!!

OK all! Hope to catch you Craftin' and Stampin'!

I decided that since I have been getting myself ready for my Housewarming Party, and I created my invites, and decorations, that I would continue that theme!!

So, here is my project:

And I started putting it together! Wait til you scroll down to see what it looks like!!!
Another picture of it coming together!!!

ALL COMPLETE!!!

Can't have a picnic basket with out your utensils!
Notice the Stickles on the food! I tried to go for the greasy look on the chicken, LOL!
The mustard Stickles have to be my favorite part! It looks SO REAL!!! I hope you can see this from the picture!
I think the big I'M HUNGRY will let everyone know that this is where all the food will be!

I went for a Picnic Basket EXPLOSION of food!!!

************LinkingUp with PINK CRICUT LINK UP PARTY**********

For my project today, here are the cartridges I used:

Life's A Party
Party Picks and Pennants
Fast Food Lite

I also used my gypsy to help with all the pieces!

~I used my Close To My Heart Stamp set to create LET'S EAT which I stamped in Red (which as you can tell was my theme color)
~Stickles for all the details! You REALLY want your details to shine!!! No pun intended!!
~Floral Styrofoam for the inside of the "basket" to hold the pieces in place! This Basket is actually of the Life's a Beach cartridge! And guess what it was...? The Treasure chest! I cut it as big as my Cricut would allow me to, which I believe was 9.25.
~I used bamboo skuers to HOT GLUE the images to!Then, I poked them through the foam in the basket! I also hot glued more of the images to the skuer and then to the top of the I'M HUNGRY sign!
~I alternated the food images (all cut from the Fast Food Lite cartridge) in different sizes. I ranged from 3.0-5.0 in the different items! I arranged them into no particular order, just in the order I liked best!
~I used the Party Picks and Pennants craft room file to create the sign that said "LETS EAT"! I thought we needed something else to say HEY FOOD HERE!!! LOL!

So, now you are on to grab some blog candy back HERE!!!
