Telelphone Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to Made Especially For You's
Telephone Blog Hop!

If you've never heard of the "Telephone" game it's a game most often played by kids that simulates how a story can change from person to person, or how a rumor can start. For example, I may tell Susie that at lunch today I had a peanut butter sandwich, an apple, and some milk, and she may go tell Jackie that I had a turkey sandwich, an apple, and some milk. Although only one small detail was changed, over time the entire story can change. The game is played by starting with a story and whispering it from one person to the next in a circle and seeing how the story changed once the last person has told it.

We decided to play this game as a design team, not with stories, but with cards! Our DT leader Ashley started with a photo of a card, emailed it to someone, who then created a card based off her card, and sent a photo of it to the next person. As a design team, this is the first time we're seeing the progression of the cards!

Here is the photo of the card I received from KRISTY !!!! You should of arrived here from her blog! If not, please start at the beginning with ASHLEY!

For my card, I really drew upon the mailbox! I loved her stamp, and I wanted to create a BIG mailbox shaped card! Here is the card I created!!!

What fun is a blog hop without blog candy?! A couple of our design team members have donated some blog candy for those who comment on EVERY stop of the hop!

Card Creating Tuesday at My Cricut Craft Room!

Click HERE for my Close To My Heart store where you can purchase the new Cricut Artiste Cartridge!!!

Hey All!!!

Today is Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut Craft Room!

For today's challenge, you can create ANY CARD!!! Woo Hoo!!

For my card, I wanted to make a card for my hubby to say just how much I love and appreciate all that he has done for me lately! He is not into "lovey dovey cards", so I had to make a fun one for him!

Here is what I came up with:

I used my Gypsy, Sweetheart Cartridge, Paisley Cartridge, and Sesame Street Font Cartridge to make this shaped card!!!

How cute is it??

Here are the screens on my Gypsy showing how I welded and made this card!!

First, I found the image I wanted to use. Once I found the image and figured out how big I wanted it, I duplicated it, flipped it upside down, and moved them together until I was happy with the placement. Then I hit the weld button.

Next, I printed another layer to place on top of the front of the card, so I could create the frog/toad in my layers. I also made my sentiment for the inside. All of the 3 parts of the sentiment are welded together for easier placement!

Finally, I printed the rest of the layers (eyes, crown, belly) and then placed them on the card.

I cant wait to give hubby his card!!! I also hope my card inspires you to work with your Gypsy and create some beautiful cards and projects!!!

Please make sure you check out the rest of the wonderful projects from my other DT sisters by going to www.mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

OK all! Hope to catch you Craftin' and Stampin'!

Creative Cutter Room-Challenge 2 "Shaped Card Project"!

Hey All!!!

Today is the 2nd challenge from the new Creative Cutter Room Design Team, and our challenge today is:

CREATE A SHAPED CARD-CANNOT BE SQUARE OR RETANGLE!

So, with that said, I decided I did not want to do just the regular circle or oval. Instead, I pulled out my trusty Gypsy and went to work! I wanted to make sure I did something a little different and I wanted to make it feel "life like". I knew I wanted to use my Glossy Accents, so what could I make? Then I got this idea!

Here is the front of my card. Can you see where I used the Glossy Accents?
Here is a side view of the card. Looking at it now, I wish I would of used an Action Wobble! That would of brought it to life for sure!
Here is the upclose shot of the detail I did to the fish and the Glossy Accents to show off the fish bowl. I also wanted to show you what my sentiment says.
Here is the back of the card showing its the shape of a fish bowl welded together!
