Guest Designer Day at My Vinyl Direct

Hey All!!

This is Jessica from Craftin' and Stampin'! I am SO excited to be a guest designer today! I am so very excited to show you a project I made using HTV!


I started ordering from here about 6 months ago when I was getting ready for my sister in laws baby shower! I knew I wanted to make some AWESOME onesies for my future nephew, and I wanted them to be some jokes that my family would understand! I contacted this company and asked what they suggested for using this HTV if I only had an iron. I got a TON of tidbits, and I could NOT wait for the HTV to come in the mail! Well, even though its are across the US from me, I got it LIGHTNING FAST! They are the ONLY vinyl company I order from! I even ordered from them for a LARGE order about 2 weeks ago, and they were SURE to get it out to me ASAP so I could use the holiday weekend to capitalize on my orders! THEY REALLY ARE AMAZING!!!

OK, back to my project....

So, of the onesies I made for my little nephew, I made kind of "personalized" onesie's for our family for my nephew to wear!!!

Today, I would like to show off one of the ones I made for my nephew, (and that I sell in my Etsy store), that I made using black HTV from My Vinyl Direct! Not only do they have 32 colors to choose from but they also have GLITTER HTV and GLOW IN THE DARK HTV, so imagine how cute this little onesie would be if I would of used Glow In the Dark HTV! That will be my next project!

This onesie was made for my sister in law's brother that my nephew could wear around him!

Matchbook Favor using Close To My Heart Sparkle and Shine

Hey All!!

Today's project is gonna be a quickie project!!! BUT, I do have a photo to go along with it!!!

Here is something that I made for bub and his classroom for his Holiday Party! Since he wont eat what the other children will, I use this as an opportunity to get him to participate and enjoy a snack with his friends! I always try to make the favors really fun so they are all excited to eat them with him! So, here is what I made:

Here are the supplies I used:

Sparkle and Shine paper

Sparkle and Shine Washi

Santa Claus Stamp Set

Foam Tape

Ruby Ink

Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

Here is the cutting info:

Cut one 8.5 X 11 solid card stock piece to be 8 X 11. Then on the 11' side, cut each piece at 2.75. You should get 4 pieces. Take one piece, and on the 8' side, score at 1/2, 4 1/4, & 4 1/2. Then, cut a patterned piece (Sparkle and Shine) at 2.50 X 3.25. Using Art Philosophy, cut Circle 1 out of white card stock at 1.75 inches and then cut another piece of Sparkle and Shine on Circle 2 at 2 inches.Stamp the 'HO HO HO" in Ruby ink from Santa Claus onto the 1.75 inch circle. Then, using foam tape, adhere to Circle 2. Put the candy towards the very bottom, and staple CLOSER to the very bottom. Fold flap into the stapled area.

I actually got the idea for this from the SIL group on Facebook! I just tweaked it JUSSSST a bit to my liking!!! I used Vinyl from My Vinyl Direct (link is up on right), jingle bells from Michael's, and Heidi Swapp holiday paper background. The Shadowbox also came from Michael's!
