Hiding In My Craft Room-FREESTYLE!!!

Click HERE for my 250 Follower Giveaway!

LAST DAY FOR THE FREE ART PHILOSOPHY CARTRIDGE IF YOU SIGN UP UNDER ME WITH CLOSE TO MY HEART!!!!

Hey All!!!!

It's SATURDAY!!! Wooo HOOO!!! What a week!!! Just a recap in case you missed anything:

~Finished decorations for my sister in laws baby shower! Its tomorrow!!!!! YEAAAAAA!!!!!
~Looked at QUITE A FEW homes! Hoping for something positive soon! Fingers crossed!
~Finally was able to become a Close To My Heart Representative! I even put in my Credit order AND a small additional order!! Look for haul videos next week! I miss doing them!!!
~Got a few cards for Cricut magazine entries done!

BUT, one of the most IMPORTANT things about today is that its time another Hiding In My Craft Room Challenge! Whoop Whoop!!! And guess what??? I think today might just be my FAVORITE challenge! Here's why:

Challenge : FREESTYLE
So anything goes!

So, since its ANYTHING goes, what did I decide to do??? Well, a card for a man! I NEVER do them! I had an idea a while back, and I never did it! Well, this week I found the time to! Here it is:

Supplies:
Cricut All Sports Cartrdige
The Paper Studio- All solid colors & Patterned Paper Stack
Pop Dots
Adhesive

I wish I could show you today what the sentiment will be! But I have to make it! I have the Teresa Collins Stamp maker and I want to make a BUNCH of sentiment stamps! I have quite a few in mind, just sadly, no time to do it! I guess if I cant get it done by this weekend, I could just print out one! But, call me odd, but I don't like using a printer for my sentiments! I want to use a stamp! Makes my card feel more real!!! The sentiment I was thinking of for this card would be something like "I know you'll have a BALL on your birthday" or something with a play on words with ball!

I hope you enjoyed my card today! I really wasn't much in the Easter Mood this week! I am really surprised at myself on that too! I usually LOVE making cards/projects for a holiday right up to the time it comes! I just couldn't do it this week! I think its stress :( Looking and bidding on homes has me BEYOND stressed right now! Its SO HARD to be at someones mercy! I have ZERO patience for things, and house hunting just proves it!!! AHHHHH! Please someone, tell me it gets easier???
OK, that's it for my "whoa is me" rant!!! Now its time to look at some inspiration so you can join the fun at Hiding In My Craft Room this week! Go check out my DT sister blogs! I KNOW you will love what they did!!! As a matter of fact, I think it will be time for another giveaway! On Sunday, my give away for the Cameo Blog Hop will end, so lets end this giveaway next Saturday...just in time for a new challenge!!!

So, I asked the question...What have I been up to? Well, I answered part of it above, and here is the rest of the answer! BABY SHOWER MADNESS!!!! My adorable sister in law, Kristen, is due in 2 months!!! Here shower is this weekend and I am FINALLY going to be able to talk to her again! lol! I am the WORST with surprises! I have BANNED myself from talking to her because I just KNEW I would give it away! Well, since the shower is this Sunday, I can FINALLY talk to her again!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Wanna see some things me and my other sister in law, Colleen (my event planning business partner!) have created for her???? I am going to start off with showing you the things I already posted about; The Invite and The Favors!

Here is the invite! The Baby's Theme is Jungle Jubilee! They have decided to be surprised at what they are having!! Boy, that HAS to be tough!
Here is the favors to go with the invite! On the back of the favors we have: "We're not LION, thanks for coming to Kristen's Shower"; "Thanks for MONKEYING around with us at Kristen's Shower"; "Hope you had TONS of fun at Kristen's Shower"; "So LONG, farewell, thanks for coming to Kristen's Shower"

Here is a picture of the invite and the favors! Don't they look TOO cute together???

Now, on to the new things that we finished up this weekend! Hope you enjoy them all! It took ALL DAY on Sunday!!!

Banner for the new baby! Like the colors? Since we don't know the sex!
Mom to Be Badge that I made for my sister in law to wear at her shower! I used Glossy Accents, My Big Shot, and My Cricut to make!
These are the blocks that we made to sit next to her as she is opening her gifts. Keep in mind, these stand about 3 1/2 feet tall! They were just a bit time consuming to make!

The next set of pictures are the centerpieces for the tables that we made for the restaurant! The four frames are going to go home with her so she can hang in the babies room!

The Cute Elephant Frame! Don't you just LOVE his little peanut friend???

I bought a package of paper that was from Recollections and I seriously only bought the paper for 1 pattern that was in the package! I have been holding onto this paper JUST IN CASE something ever came up! Well, I have been holding onto it for about a year and a half! FINALLY something comes along!!!

Here is my card:

Supplies:

Recollections patterned paper
Word Play Stampin' Up Stamp Set

Made Especially For You-Cartridge Review "Spring Fever Holiday"

Click HERE for my 250 Follower Giveaway!

Hi All!

This is Jessica from Craftin' and Stampin' and today I am here at Made Especially For You to go over my cartridge review!

Today’s review is on SPRING FEVER HOLIDAY Cricut cartridge. I chose this cartridge because I am OVER winter, but still feeling in a "LOVEY" kind of mood! Here is what the cartridge looks like:

This cartridge is a SOLUTIONS cartridge and was a cartridge made for the Cricut Expression 2 release that you could purchase from HSN.

It has a mix of images (lips, angel, cupid, hearts, etc) and phrases (love, sweetheart, xoxo, etc) from some of the more popular cartrdidges.  The Main Icon shapes are pictured below:

As you can see, there are images from Love Struck, Tie The Knot, Fabulous Finds, Pagoda, Sweet Treats, Mother's Day, Stamping, A Child's Year, Beyond Birthday, Pink Journey, Heritage, Wild Card,Wedding, All Mixed Up, Making the Grade, Printing Press, Doodlecharms, Mini Monograms, Alphalicious, Home Decor, New Arrival, Lyrical Letters, Stamped, Calligraphy Collection & Sweethearts. This cartridge took the best images from the more popular cartridges. Here’s a look at the Keypad Overlay:

The images are made to be easily created and a quick SOLUTION for you when you need to finish a project in a hurry. This cartridge is also a great cartridge because you have the best images off of 25 cartridges! Could you image how much you would spend if you purchased all of these cartridges?

There is no booklet for this cartridge seeing there are only 50 Images/Phrases.
There are NO Creative Feature Keys – Instead, you will just utilize just <SHIFT> and <NON SHIFT> keys to create your images.

I will tell you that I have already posted one of my FAVORITE projects from this cartridge, and here it is:

I made this image using the <LIPS> + <LIPS-S> cuts on the cartridge. It took no time at all to cut. I was able to make this card in under 10 minutes.
This cartridge is does not have what you think would be on it. You would think with a name like SPRING FEVER HOLIDAY that you would have lots of Spring images on it. Instead, you have a lot of love images, hearts, and love phrases. I almost feel as though this image has images for things you would DO during Spring (Mother's Day, Weddings, Spring, etc).

So, if you are looking for a cartridge that has some really great images on it, and a lot of variety from many cartridges, this is the cartridge for you!

I hope this Cartridge Review helps you in your projects you chose to make with it!

OK guys, hope to catch you all Craftin' and Stampin'!

Creating Your Own Embellishments Using Glossy Accents

Hi All!

Today is my turn to host the Thursday Craft 'n Chat at Made Espeically For You! For my Craft 'n Chat post, I decided I would show you how to create your own embellishements out of Glossy accents!

I wanted to tell you how I came up with this....

About a year ago, I was going to volunteer for the Autism Speaks walk, and I wanted to make puzzle piece pins. Well, I did not have a Cricut Cartridge that cut out an image of a puzzle piece (which I would of cut out of chipboard and decorated). I did have a a puzzle piece punch that I knew I could use! So I punched out 5 puzzle pieces out of card stock of the same color. I adhered them all together (one on top of another) with adhesive. Then, I used the Glossy accents on the top and sides of the puzzle pieces. I let them dry on a piece of wax paper, for about an hour and then adhered a pin clip on the back and it was done!!

So, after making the pin, I thought, what about embellishments??? I tried it out with a circle punch to make a "button" in a particular color that I did not have in my button stash. And guess what? It WORKED!! So, I am going to share my technique with you! I hope you enjoy this video!

Thanks for allowing me to share this with you and the rest of the Especially Made bloggy friends!

Hope to catch you all Craftin' and Stampin'!

Throughout the month of March, you have unlimited opportunities to win the Spring Fever Cricut cartridge being given away by our awesome Sponsor Coordinator and Sketch Designer, Beckie from Just B Creative Crazy. Here are the guidelines for the giveaway:
- You will receive one entry for every card you enter in our weekly challenges (you can enter as many cards as you want for each challenge as long as they each have their own post on your blog)
- You will receive one entry for liking the Made Especially For You Facebook page
- You will receive one entry for every friend you get to link up to one of our challenges (your friend must let us know in their post that they have linked up because of you, otherwise we can't count it)

The winner of the cartridge will be randomly chosen and announced on Monday April 2nd. This cartridge will also be featured in our Do You Speak Cricut? Saturday cartridge review on Saturday March 24th.

OK all, I hope to catch  you Craftin' and Stampin'!
